I've had this Monti frag for a couple of weeks now and it's been growing and doing great. It looked good a couple hours ago and just now I went to look at it and it's literally shedding it's color!? Everything looks great other than this one.

Mine will do something similar when my water parameters are off.

What's your water parameters and have you changed anything recently?
Haven't. Changed anything at all. Nothing new to the tank just normal feeding and 10% water change on the weekends. I can do a nitrate and maybe an alk test with my red sea kit I think that's all I have. Last I tested was 2 weeks ago and things seemed to be within check. Should I check again? Also is it recoverable or is my poor Monti toast?

Focus on your alk content but. . DO NOT chase any parameters to fix things. Gradually is key

Going to do an alk test right now.
While youre at it- Check and double check salinity as High Salinity will also have affect

Alkalinity, calcium, magnesium, phosphates, nitrates and salinity are parameters essential to keeping SPS. Not knowing exactly what these parameters are will lead to problems.

Alk, CA, Mag all work together. Testing alkalinity alone will not give you a clear picture of your water quality.

Did you dip this coral? Can't rule out
Nudibranchs.
I have dipped every coral I have gotten thus far. Some in Cora RX samples and all the others in seachem's dip. Did see a couple bugs on one coral, but it died immediately and then I swished them in di before putting the corals in.

They are tiny and like to hang out under the rim until the lights go out. The ones I had were maybe a quarter the length of a grain of rice and a lot skinnier. White in color.
I just saw some little things under my rockwork moving around. White about the length of a grain of rice skinnier and white.
I also just saw an asteria star on the glass this morning and I had never seen one in the tank before.... I have no idea where these pests have come from
