Picked this up today. I still don't know how to take good pictures with my phone.

This is a pic of my Aquasd Rainbow Monti. I have had this one longer than my Rainbow Monti above and it has barely grown. It has however
changed color a little bit. It has a long way to go.

It looks like it's encrusting, so assuming all your parameters are in order, it has something to do with your lighting...either intensity, duration, or type.

Wow that's crazy mine maxes out at 45% power. I'm trying not to touch the settings to see if all of my coral look good because I'm just starting to learn how to dose.
Forget dosing. Buy good salt, an ro/di system, and do weekly water changes, and your corals will thank you!!

Yes you are right. It was encrusting. Its just a slow grower or starter I should say. Once it finally started to grow a tad. It seems to be consistent. I will post a picture when the lights are not going down.

It looks like it's coming along nicely. I have a brain freeze monti that looks just like it, and I love it! And from one day to the next, it just took off. In my experience, they take a while to acclimate even when everything is perfect. But yours looks like it's coming along fine. I have a beach bum thats about three months old, and although I know it's in a good spot, there's not much growth...but it slowly encrusting. I'm going to give it a little more time, and if it doesn't start growing, I'm going to move it up a little. I've had a juggernaut for about 7 months, and for the first 5 there was no noticeable growth. Then 2 months ago, I moved it up, and all of the sudden...boom! Crazy! This has also happened to me with several pieces...both, with acros and montis. About a month ago, I got a homewrecker, and It's doing fan-freaken-tastic right where I put it. With all that being said, I have a 14,000k full spectrum led setup, and I've been doing water changes about every 10 days...give or take, with coral pro salt, using ro/di water from my aqua fx mako, and so far there's nothing I can't seem grow. And best of all, I don't need to dose at all. For me, my only obstacle was figuring out what lighting the piece is going to like, and where on my tank would suit it. I'm no pro, and my tank is relatively new ( a little ove a year old), but I have zero complaints, or issues, and there's nothing I can't seem to grow. Here's a pic of my little slice of heaven...
