Happy Sunday
Soo I for a good size piece of Monti. Will they attach to a rock as they grow our will I need to place it somewhere so as it grows it won't fall off the rocks?

Nice score on the monti, I have had good luck with mine.

They will encrusted onto the rock as it grows, just glue it where you want it. Just keep in mind it will grow out from the rock and shade the area below it so it could limit future coral placement below it.

Perfect, I thought so, it's in a good spot, not much underneath it. It's kind of on a shelf anyhow.
Thanks again

Growth is all at the edges so if there is an edge near the rock, it will grab on.

Usually with a small frag this is not something you have to even try for. In a week or so it will have bonded itself as long as there isn't too much flow rocking the frag back-and-forth all the time.

With a larger frag it's possible you could mount it so that no edges were touching anything. In that case it would not bond, or would take a long time and the right circumstances. Glue bigger pieces for sure.
