I have had this coral for 5 years. It doesn't show up so good in the photo but one new polyp came in with way less color than normal. I thought it would color up after a while but it has started to creep into the polyps next to it. It had a similar thing but not really the same thing a couple years ago. My alkalinity had gotten low and when I got it back up and kept it at 9, it healed up and has been fine ever since. Perimeters are now and have been stable. I have had sps and lps in the tank for a good while and every thing else is doing just fine. I may have it in a little more light than it needs and thought I would put it in a bit lower light and maybe do a iodine dip but thought I'd ask if any one knew what this was first.

hi,looks like just not turned up to light yet, how's it doing now? :)

It's still creeping into the polyps next to it. Unless someone knows what this is and what to do about it, I don't see it just going away. I have put it into a quarantine tank.

Nice piece! Maybe feed the polyp head specifically that has the problem or the mouths around it if not already? Does it grow other heads normally?

the bleaching/color loss is creeping into surrounding polyps??

The little polyp it started with has never opened up to eat and now half of it has skeleton showing. The rest have started not opening all the way in the last few days.

Yes the white lack of color has spread to the polyps next to it.

Appears to be a new head not yet developed.
Yes, you can iodine and pottasium which may help the tissue and color come in. Moderate light and water flow is where this one does best. If flow is strong, will definitly hold it back
