Moon Light Guidelines

Has anyone seen some guidelines as to how to go about installing moon lights? Specifically, I would be interested in understanding how many LEDs to use, what wattages should be for certain sized tanks, and what the color and schedule should be for the moon lighting. It seems that some fixtures support moon lights, others do not, and there is considerable variation in how the moon lighting is achieved. Some folks have even installed standalone moon lights, and that is an option I'm considering if I wind up with a fixture that doesn't support this feature.

i've always wanted to add moonlights just for the wow factor but never have...i figured i'd follow to see what others say
