You probably have real moonlight's. Mine are from the AI Hydra HD which at 1% are way too bright and pretty annoying actually. I manually set only the purple light at 1% for a couple hours on mine and that's more realistic than the built-in Moonlight setting

My Maxspect Ethereal has a moonlight function but it is fairly dull and doesn't light the tank all that much, it's more like ambient lighting for the room really. Both of my clownfish go into their sleep-like trance thing that they do and hug their frogspawn all night so I don't think it bothers them, my melanurus wrasse buries himself so I know it doesn't bother him, my goby sleeps in its cave with the pistol shrimp, and my hawkfish sleeps in a little crevasse all night so it probably doesn't bother him either.

I have only 1 kessil a80 I don’t know if it has a moonlight to it

They don’t unfortunately, if using the spectral controller I believe the minimum intensity is 5% way too bright, even Kessil admits this.

I have a reef keeper with the moonlight module and a single 2 blue LED lighting module mounted to the underside of one of my A80s. I get a natural moonlight effect that follows the lunar phase. I dig it, hasn’t really shown any positive or negative effects but I’d like to think it’s beneficial.
