viking_reefing on Instagram has had his for a decent amount of time now, and it's really healthy. He's also got an Achilles Tang, Regal Angel, and Copperband in their as well with it, so definitely a hard to keep bunch that's doing really well. I believe he said the success is coming from having lots of open swimming room and multiple feedings a day

cool! Where in Hawaii?? I recently came back from maui a month ago and didnt see any :(
Maui! Right outside my hotel lol At ka’anapali beach(west Maui)at the black rock everybody cliff dives off of. We swam with sea turtles, saw a bunch of moorish idols, huge yellow tangs in schools of like 20/30, 10”-12” sailfin tangs, Achilles tangs, humu humus And like 6 other species of triggerfish, parrotfish, snowflake/Morray eels, convict tangs, unicornfish, blonde and regular naso tangs, , powder brown tangs, and yellow eye like tangs.
it was impressive, and gave me a unforgettable way to remember what fish are from Hawaii when I’m at a LFS

O yea and like 6 species of beautiful butterfly fish

People are finding morish idols like to be in a group of 3 or more. There's been more cases lately as of keeping them single. But that's probably after getting them to eat.

Edit: bob fenner said they do best in a pair. They are often found in the wild as a pair.

makes sense.

I have one, had him for about 1 year eats like a pig, will eat anything you put in to the tank. Is in a 500 ltr tank but is going in to a new 7 foot 1200 ltr tank later in the year. I rehomed him, was the second one i had 1st never ate a thing in my tank, did everything i could to get him to eat. If you can get one that eats they make the most awesome fish.
