Mopping the floor with bleach. Fumes

Just curious if using bleach water to clean the floors in the same room as the tank could be harmful?

from a chemistry standpoint does the water absorb the “smell” in the air?

It will absorb the bleach. I'd turn off a skimmer if it takes in room air.

However, I expect that the exposure is short term and may be worse for you than the tank. It not unlike a shot of ozone to the tank.

Thank you. I don’t run a skimmer but will talk to my better half and ask to cut the bleach out.
