Morangus Biocube 29 build

I'm in savannah ga where the water visibility is negative 5 inches:D......really. But I just lay down on my down and lean my head over the edge with a flashlight and scooped the up. The pipe fish I could grab with my hand haha. They don't move at all.
Lay down on the dock** scooped them up** sorry guys, typing too fast and did not check spelling

Nice! When I scuba in Hawaii visibility was 100+ foot. We'd go out at night and with all the fish sleeping you could just bag up what you wanted.

That sounds so cool!!!!!! That's what I've always wanted to do. Gonna have to move to the Florida keys

I've never dove anywhere but Hawaii but I can imagine the visibility in the keys is similar or the same as in Hawaii.

Made my own food tonight... $20 bought 3 raw oysters, a pound of de-veined uncooked shrimp, a pound of bay scallops, and 3 raw squid with tentacles. All ground up in a food processor until I got it to the right consistency that I was looking for. Placed into gallon size freezer bags and then rolled out flat and placed in the freezer. Made 3 1/2 gallon sized bags.

Wat do you feed with it? Anything in particular? Just curious as to how good it works

I just have a pair of clowns right now. I'll let you know after I test it out. The Myasis I was feeding my Dottyback previously was definitely clouding up my water pretty bad even after rinsing. I switched to pellets since getting the clowns and they're eating it like crazy when I feed. What I'm hoping with switching to something "fresh" is better nutrition for my fish, as well as provide a variety for my LPS and CUC.

This is purely experimental and the prices I was seeing for frozen food online to me just didn't make sense. Sure, they have more ingredients, but this is just my first start / batch.

Found what appears to be some type of long thin worm or something like a worm (multiple worms as I saw two poking out) of my zoas... They're black or dark brown. Tried to pull on one with some tweezers but failed. Forgot to get a shot with the camera.

It's been awhile since I updated on how things are going with my tank... Figured I'd bring up to speed... With a few pictures...

Starting to get coralline growth on my rocks as well. Water parameters remain stable. Just doing 5g water changes once a week and things have been solid.

Full tank shot...

Your photos are dull and grainy but so are a lot of mine. I wouldn't be too quick to blame it on the camera. Plan each shot you take and keep retaking the same shot until you get it right before going on to the next shot. Reefers are always in a hurry. Plan no more than 2 photo sessions a day and no more than 4 photos per session until you start improving, then increase. I've heard of a photographer planning a single shot for a whole week. Prepare and get to know your camera.

I'm just using an iPhone 6 with a gel filter. Most likely I need to clean the filter or find a different one. Lol. Either way at this point I'm not looking for money shots, just showing what I have which isn't much.

Getting good growth out of all my coral since I turned my Chinese LEDs down to 40% whites and 75% blues. Had a small breakout of zoa eating nudis but I nipped them in the bud quickly and they're gone. Hopefully will be upgrading in a year to a bigger tank! I also started a 40g Rubbermaid for a frag tank for new specimens.
