More aquascaping questions please!

I popped 80kg of cured live rock into my new tank a couple of days ago to start cycling. Yesterday I pulled it all out to do my scaping using putty etc - took a bit of time so the rock was out of the water for a couple of hours....will it be ok?

There will probably be some die off , did you keep it moist when working on it ? But in the end it won't matter just let it cycle as normal and it will all work out in the end !!
