Hey guys, I'm looking to add more pounds of rock which I don't have room for in the DT. The sump is also pretty limited. Is there any benefit to doing one or the other in terms of increasing bacterial population to add more dry rock to get going or ceramic biomedia plates or cubes? Seems like surface area would be better with the ceramic. Let me know what your experiences have been.

I've got a 75 display and 20 sump and I probably have about 40 pounds of dry rock in the tank.

I like rock but if you dont have room then the man made media will work.
