So I'm at the point where I'm ready to add more stuff to my 180g. Right now I have 4 chromis that are doing well. My plan is to add new life to the tank in the next week or so. The fish will be 3 pairs of clowns which would cost me about $250. Or I can spend that money and get myself some beginner/hardy corals in the tank.

What would you do?

I would add both! But it depends on your personal preference :)

I wish! Unfortunately my budget doesn't allow for that. I want to add all the clowns at the same time to see if they will all play nice if they grow up together.

Brooklynella, ich, velvet, and other ailments are running rampant right now. Be sure to quarantine these clowns to avoid disappointment and a real pain down the road.

My thought and personal preference is to start with fish, then get the water parameters / nutrient export under control, then add the coral. :)

start with fish. they also help feed your coral in the future :)

That's what I was leaning towards.

Thanks for all the replies!
