I have a Red Sea max e 170, and I am wondering if the single return orbit provides enough flow for the tank? I'm about ready to add corals zoos, spit fire, Favia, frog spawn, and rainbow torch. I want to be happy and healthy. Also where so I aim this orbit return socket?

I suggest starting with one coral and giving yourself no less than a few weeks before adding another organism.

This gives you time to learn and get things right and/or make any mistakes before subjecting more critters to your learning curve.

If you use that approach you probably do not need an extra pump to start with, depending on your rock layout and coral selection.

But as you go along and the months go by and you add more corals and those corals grow out you will almost surely need one or even two more small pumps to supplement the builtin.

I kinda doubt you have enough flow in there but I can't really see it. But in my 14 g nano qt I did just put a splitter on and it has really nice flow.
One thing I did was watch a lot of YouTube and look at flow for different animals.
In your tank you'll wid up with several different spot of flow and you can place animals accordingly.
In your tank if you drop food in or dust the rocks. Look at the patterns it makes. Spots of turbulence and laminar spots too. Move the powerhead or inlet around till you get what you like.
