I am curious how fish generally react to treatment to these meds. I have been mixing with food and feeding for a few days no issue. Today I mixed a new batch, and after the fish ate it started swimming on top gasping for air at surface and breathing fast. I was curious how if anyone else had had this happen, or how fish react you medicate the water column since I assume some of it got into the water column due to poor food binding or something. I want to add that I didn't add water to the food for mixing this time because it seemed like it was too runny last time. From what I understand it is near impossible to overdose this medication, but thought maybe a higher consistency without the extra water may be relevant.

Thanks in advance

I haven't noticed any adverse reactions from feeding metro/focus.

Are you sure a contaminant didn't get into the food mix?

honestly no. I think it was something in the water. Wife decided to chuck it into the DT while I was at work, and all is well now. It even came out just now to feed.
