a few more questions about the dp-4...

now that i've got it set up and dosing properly, which for me is as minimal as 1ml per hour daily on my alk, i am wondering about maintenance and water changes on the tank. i'm assuming that i can just unplug the thing and there will be battery power to the point to save the date/time and dosing programs, so that when i plug back in it will just pick up right where it left off. well you know what they say about assuming, so i guess i'm must looking for confirmation or any tips/experience here.

beyond that, my unit has a comm port on the back that looks like it would take an ethernet cable. anyone know what that's for or use theirs? i don't recall seeing it in covered in the english section of the manual.

Just curious why unplug it? It's not like its an ATO, it goes off of a timer. I would leave all my stuff plugged in except for the return pump

fair point, probably not a big conern, thought i do have it setup on a 10 gallon so if i do a 50% change (leaving for vacation), i don't want to dose it too heavy when my water level is low.

its also possible (or with my luck, likely) that i'll have the dosing tubing displaced and it will end up hitting the floor or anywhere but the tank when the timer goes off
