So, this is weird. My Duncan corals have been so radically closed up for like 6 months that they looked like a skeleton. I left it there, knowing. They are peeking out ever so slightly: same with one of my candy canes.
The past six months had been dominated with Gha removal. I gave up on nopox and switched to vibrant; gha nearly eradicated now. During that period up to today, here’s my tank results:
Softies struggling. Closed up. Pulsing Xenia smaller than usual.
SPS mostly fine. Great poci and montipora growth. One of two birds nest has algal remnants on the tips.
LPS mixed. Goni looks great, as do encrusting corals and brains. Duncan’s and one of two candy canes almost skeletal but alive.
I have been keeping up on chemistry, but GHA May have sucked up nitrates/phosphates too fast? I have upped my use of Red Sea abplus from once per week to semi frequent to compensate? Trying that anyway.

thought?

What are your nutrient levels? Vibrant May have stripped the tank.
