Hi, I purchased a coral beauty from a local fish store. They had a hard time catching him out of a big tank. I put him in quarantine and treated him for ich and flukes (he had both). He has a a pectoral fin that is missing . I did not have the heart to return him to the store. He swims kinda funny , but is doing fine. Will his fin grow back?

It depends on how the injury was caused and how much of the fin is removed. If the fin is completely missing and the fin rays are gone then it won't regrow (this would likely be a birth defect), if it's just been nipped and there is still some left then it should grow back in a few weeks.
Fish can do fine with quite severe problems as proved by the tailess centropyge angels. So even if it doesn't grow back it should be fine, assuming all the treatment goes well.

Nemo had one smaller pectoral fin also. He is a clownfish. But it was because of a barracuda. Did the fish store happen to have a barracuda?

Anyway, Clownfish are no funnier than any other fish. That’s actually a common misconception.

There is a little there ,but not much. I would say about three quarters gone.

Assuming its not just something the fish has always had it should regrow from there. When the fins are nipped or lost from fin rot, they normally regrow as long the fin rays haven't been lost.

its surprising how much they can regenerate. This shows caudal fins rather than pectorals
