Hi Guys.
So just some questions regarding the the AF system.
I started dosing the Pro bio and NP pro early Jan. Since starting I have noticed a steady rise in nitrates.
About a month ago I also added some Life Bio fil to a TLF 150 reactor.
Now the nitrates have not dropped at all. I was under the impression that this product being bacteria filled also would at least lower nitrates a little?
My nitrates have climbed to close to 10.
Phos sits around 0.03.
Tank is roughly 300 litres and for the past week have upped the dosage of the pro bio s and np pro from 2 drops to 3 drops.
Also dosing ABVE. was dosing 2 drops but dropped to one drop.
Now I would be too worried about those parameters but I have had an outbreak of GHA which doesn't seem to dying off. ?
Guys any advice would be greatly appreciated! Especially any advice getting rid f this algae.

Simple, stop dosing nutrients.
Your Po4 and No3 aren't that bad as you read but you getting a false reading as your HA is taking the nutrients before you can test them.
When lowered your HA will die off, of course any manual removing will help you as well.

I have been dosing NP pro and Por Bio S for and year now, and ran higher nutrients. I am also dosing phosphate minus and running carbon. Then I added lif bio fil about 6 weeks ago and my nutrients have been dropping steadily. The nutrients have leveled off at a trace for the phosphates and 5 ppm for the nitrates.

Can I ask do you change out Bio fil every 4-6 weeks or do you just replace 10%?
I run it in a reactor.
