Just to make sure I am still tackling the same dinoflagellate, can I get a new ID please? Am I now dealing with multiples?

If it helps they seem to roll on their sides, not do much going anywhere. I would not say they look tethered, more like they are just doing a barrel roll but never going anywhere. Then there are other things zipping in and out of my view in the microscope but I have no idea what those are.

The reason I am asking, if I am going to combat this I need to exactly which beast this is. I noticed that of course the algae is worse late in the day but overnight I can still see plenty of strands in the morning when I get up.

I always wondered if I was doing any good cleaning my filter socks, if these things lived through it. I doubt it. As soon as one drop of tap water hits that slide, everything dies instantly.
