Ok guys looking for a little advice I'm looking for answers from someone who has the experience not just the general info about the idol, I've kept them in the past in fowlr tank I actually had a trio that did very well! So I do know the care responsibilities of one!
So my question is anyone keeping a moorish idol in a sps dominant tank? What's your experiences with doing so? Any picking at the corals? I know the trio I had acted more like tangs always picking at rock but I don't know how they'll act around sps so thanks for sharing your experiences 

idk. not recommended reef safe especially with LPS but with SPS it's hit or miss. some pick some don't.

Well that's part of the reason I'm considering one now is because all of my lps and z&p's are out of my tank except a few that are incrusted on the rocks that I'm willing to sacrifice!!!
So I only have sps acros and montis and a few birds nests so I don't know thanks for your reply
Please keep them coming guys really wanna hear from people with the experience of keeping them in a sps tank 

I use to have one. It did better than I excepted, had it for almost a year. Anyway The one I had did not pick my Acro's or Montis. I had no LPS in the tank. Just make sure they are eating mysis before you buy it.

That's the problem around here there aren't any reputable dealers so I was possibly thinking of transshipping 2-3 of them (straight to QT) along with a ton of wrasses or or finding a good online dealer for one! Thanks for the info anyone else with any experiences

My LFS got in 2. They put broken open clams/oysters/mussels on the sand bed in the tank and the idols LOVED it,they would pick the shells clean. They both sold with 2 weeks.

Good luck with finding one that will eat well!

Thay are interesting and pretty fish for sure. My LFS got in 3 of them earlier this year. Got 2 to eat and after watching the other 2 eat the final one starting eating. It was all I could do not buy one of them but I had a nice spider sponge and read they eat sponges. It took them awhile to sell all 3. Even at what I thought was a good price. I heard the smaller ones are easier to get to accept frozen food or chopped clams. I got a mandarin to eat frozen mysis after watching my seahorses eat them.

Yeah I hope skinz doesn't read this but I've already got two ugly clams that's all theirs to help them acclimate it's all in the course of nature right?

I think it's a hit or a miss with these guys. We have had this Idol for 2 months in this tank and it picks at the rocks and leaves the corals alone. We have several SPS, 2 Crocea Clams, Lobos, Zoas & Palys, CoCo Worm, Sun Coral, Rhizos, Dendros, Torch, Acans and Favias. Here's the tank with him in it.

Sorry for bad quality, quick pic

NO! Hahah He's my most favorite fish in the whole store. He started eating within 4 hours of acclimation. Supplier told me he was netted. IDK if true or not.

^^^ Hit up Pacific Island Aquatics. I'm sure he'll be able to get you 3 super nice ones. He takes care of his fish good!

Anyways looking for more people with experience, with this fish and sps
