Startup 45 g, added live sand, cloudy. Running mechanical, the question is, im running a canister fluval 306 on my other tank, should i run the fluval on the new tank yet, or will it get clogged? Can that extra particulate damage the fluval.? Opinions please. Thanks.

Hook it up, just cut some felt pads for the media trays to catch the dusty fines... no different than a filter sock. It could just take time to clear up, but i'd still run the fluval with it.
