I have noticed my green button polyps getting some purple and blue splotches mixed in. Has anyone had this happen and did they stay that way or go back to standard green over time?

Water parameters are
Alk 9.2
Cal 410
Mag 1410
PO4 .14
NO3 2
PH 8.1

Yeah, some varieties will adjust their flourescing and chromo protoiens quite a bit with just minor changes in lighting spectrum or intensity. (Sometimes makes it difficult to correctly identify a variety.) Give them some time to decide what they want to do but they'll probably keep those colors while they're in your system.

The crazy thing is I have had these in my tank for years. I noticed a different colony on the other side of my tank getting some blue now too. If I could just my palythoa grandis to color up I would be really happy.

Here’s what grandis looked like when I got them. They were doing good until my bernardpora stung it and both heads bleached. I have been keeping them fed until they can recover.

What do you feed yours.
Mine get non eaten fish food and that’s about it.

I collected mine in the keys a few years ago, never do much now I have about 6 clumps of 10-15 heads per clump.
