Moss or a form of Algae????

so guys i have a query again lol a friend of mine has bought to my attention she has a funky looking moss/algae in her tank its not an algae i have seen before its similar to hair algae but seems abit thicker like grass really and as soon as she clears it withing a day its back and back in the exact same place.

Unfortunately i dont have any pics but with the info i have given can anyone help?
