Hey all... I have most of my tank packed with Acro frags. I have a bit of showroom in the back corners that get around 170 par max in my tank. Are there any striking acros that can thrive in this lower par? Would love to hear any input.

BC has a piece called the Rainbow in Spain (spainbow). Came as a freebie on one of the my orders from Adam. Didn't think much of it until it grew out and became one of my favorites. Grew it on the sandbed in 125-150 PAR (it got moved around a bit over time, but always on the sandbed).

Found my old PAR mapping from this old tank (2x AI Vega). They were grow in 140-160 PAR.

Haven't looked at this in awhile, but actually grew a number of sps in less than 200 PAR.

From ASD. Cheap $10 frag used as a filler from one of their sale. Just labeled as a rainbow tabler. 125 PAR.

It could have been the tank or how I ran it at the time, but I found that even the Oregon tort did alright. 165 PAR. Original frag was broken in 2 by accident so I tossed them onto separate plugs.

Which eventually fused back together.

Great post! Loving these acros! The Spainbow (Rainbow in Spain) is one of my favorites from BC.

My aussie Gold looked great under about 180. I increased the light a bit and turned more purple. I bet it would love that 150-170 range.

PC Rainbow, Bubble Gum Digi, OBT, Myagi Torts, any Sarmentosa, ORA Frogskin.

Does Sarmentosa really stay colored up in that low light? Mine darkened to more of a purple when under 200 or so, but is absolutely glowing at mid-high 300's.

Got these free from a local reefer at the end of February. Don’t know long term how they’ll color up but they look good right now. These are 150-200 PAR. The pictures are during the white light period.

Here's a pic of my colony before I lost most of it. It is sold as a tort. Not sure what the actual species is.
Was around 175-200par iirc here. Very hardy and a fast grower!
