Most enjoyable fish to watch?

Groupers and hawkfish have the best personalities in the ocean imo. Theyre super interesting and you can see them just being aware of not only you but everything going on in the tank. The way they use fins as hands is also really interesting.

Tangs are pretty up there too, most seem like drama queens to me lol

My favorite to watch will always be morays though. The way they move through the rocks is mesmerizing to me, and feeding them is the best.

The crowd pleaser and family favorite is my diamond goby hands down—always working. Other contenders in my tank are the gem tang, mystery wrasse, and yasha haze goby + pistol shrimp.

i enjoy watching my yellow banded pygmy wrasse she comes up to me when i put my finger to the glass swims up and down the glass as well as checking things out on the rocks and stuff she also comes up to my hand when it’s in the tank as well

clown trigger is my favorite to watch
You asked for fish but I don't think JellyFISH count...

I am shocked only 1 person said a Clown. for me I am partial to Picasso triggers but Clowns are amazing too!

Can watch the pistol shrimp in the 15G all day, no idea where the caloric balance is achieved between all that activity and the little amount that you see in eat

Yasha Goby with Red Banded Pistol shrimp, best combo ever. Engineer gobies are fun to watch, but they'll drive you crazy with all the digging, just like yellowhead jawfish. Midas Blenny, Lawnmower Blenny and just about any blennies are fun to watch as they pounce from rock to rock, they also take bites of algae off rocks. If you are extremely lucky, you can get different types of firefish gobies to school together which I successfully did once with red firefish, purple firefish and helfrich firefish (would not recommend the gamble though). Blue Star Leopard wrasse are nice, they bury themselves in sand for couple of days until they get comfortable (but need some reef experience). If you like to see schools of fish, dispar anthias are nice. If you had to choose another anthias and that doesn't school like other anthias' do, maybe a Sunburst Anthias.

#1. Our Emperor Angel (adult) loves attention. He is always up against the glass when you come up to it and will even try to touch his face to yours. Makes him a favorite in the office. If another fish comes to the glass he grunts and chases them off like a jealous kid.

#2. Our little Dragon Wrasse is fun to watch as he stacks small rocks and such around the tank. Really cool fish.

#3. Our Linespot Trigger likes to pick up the last surviving hermit crab (Eels ate the rest), bring him to the top of the tank and drop him. It never accomplishes anything but fun to watch.

But the most fun to watch has to be the visitors who come to our office and enjoy the tanks. Especially the kids. :)

I love watching my arc eye hawk and blenny. They both love to sit amongst the gsp on the rocks and survey "their" kingdom!

Flame hawk is hands down the most favorited fish in my clients’ tanks. After that, probably a sand sifter just because they’re always up to something and generally don’t hide

My Quoyi Parrot and Copperband are my two favorites in the tank.

The Quoyi is generally just an all-star citizen of the tank, and has such a "happy" demeanor and couldn't really have a care in the world. So much personality!

The Copperband always looks like they're thinking through anything they're doing, it feels like there's a distinct intelligence there. Whenever I do a water change, he actually follows the siphon around and tries to pick off any pods or small worms that emerge from the substrate. No fear in that one.

I have to say my maroon clownfish, not really “fun” but their sheer anger and aggression when you stick your hand in the tank and go anywhere near their precious nems, annoying yet entertaining

My twin spot wrasse, always at work and on the hunt. Flipping over shells and smaller rocks to find some unsuspecting bristleworm for lunch.

How do you choose??

First thing in the morning, our filefish zooms all around the tank so he's my favorite then.

The midas blenny when he's swimming is so beautiful to watch. And the clowns are so wiggly! The firefish is kind of boring but so gorgeous. And the yellow tang is everyone's favorite.

Everyone is the most enjoyable dangit!

My Sixline Wrasse. He is always working, cruising around in his own world as my Tomini tang follows closely trying to figure out what he's eating.

My Labouti wrasse gets super excited when I walk by. He starts spitting at me!! Feed me!!!!
