My T5 fried my fixture. From what it appears my brand new Giesemann bulb some how shorted. I put the bad bulb in working half and it glowed bright red at one end. It probably fired the ballast. Is this even posable to happen? Has this happened to any one els? This has never happened to me in my 10 year of reefing.

I bought a used 72" 14 bulb t5 aquactinics constellation fixture had it hanging above a 125 gallon and it was on and I was adjusting its height above the tank on chains and it twisted and one bulb got bright red and was gonna melt if I didn't flip the power switch. I think it was a bad endcap that caused it. I ended up frying like 2 or 3 bulbs. Now that channel doesn't work. I think I'm gonna swap out all endcaps and see if it works. I don't know if I fried the ballast or not. So yes it does happen, happened to me.
