I have been using BRS C02 scrubber media. Works fine. I am looking for the most inexpensive source as it looks as though this is going to be the new normal for keeping my PH up. I am looking at this: https://www.shopmedvet.com/product/soda-lime-5-gallon-JOR553B but I don't know what 5 gallons of Lime Sorb weighs so I can't do the math. Their 3 lb bag works out to 3 bucks a pound before shipping which beats BRS by 2 bucks a pound. Is anyone currently using this? Any other sources? Thanks!

I got mine off eBay. Came out a lot cheaper and came in small bags that I got a couple changes before I had to open a new bag. Kept everything as fresh as possible.

Works great. Comes out to be a little over 5 gallons total. Just make suse you get the one that says refill bag. They offer it in a few different options as you can tell from the pic.

I did find if you pull air from the collection cup to the reactor it will extend the life of the media by 3 fold.

I am trying to work out the whole humid-air thing. I am in Washington State. I am pretty sure we have super-high humidity. I keep the sump and skimmer in the garage, so it's not like we are sitting there polluting the air. I currently get a week out of a BRS entry-level scrubber. The setup is about 160 gallons total water volume and the skimmer is throttled way down by the skimpy airlines and fittings. I don't mind changing the media every week, it's easy to do...

Thanks for your help. Going to pull the trigger on the media you recommended.

Great. I was only getting about 7-10 days before media was exhausted. After I started pulling the air from skimmer cup I get 3-4 weeks before media is exhausted. I live in the south and have very humid air but we run ac almost year around so inside air gets pretty c02 heavy.

I will give it a try. I received the media today. Super quick shipping. The weight is 36.8 pounds and works out to $2.69 a pound. I'm attaching a pic in case someone else finds this thread. Thanks for your help!

So, I hooked up the intake side of the Co2 scrubber to the exit side of the skimmer cup, with a John Guest T fitting. The PH soared! Straight up to 8.28 or so over a course of 24 hours or so and maintained it. I would like to set the skimmer pump up (in Apex) so that it shuts the skimmer down if it reaches 8.3. Then back on when it goes down to say 8.2. I thought that I did it correctly but Apex won't accept it. Can someone help me out? Thanks!

Hey thanks! I got it figured out.
