What DIY project are you the most proud of??? I know there are a LOT of tinkerers out there with ingenuity and refined "hillbilly engineering" abilities!!! Post a pic and a description of your gadget! Hopefully we can get enough, I'll put 'em all together and we can vote on the coolest. No prize but a sure pump to your ego, and a way to tell your wife "I told you I'd use that some day, now look!"

Probably my water cooled LED fixture that I built this week and finished today.

I built a 4' LED light fixture from scratch back in the day before people were doing LED on "large" tanks. Still works, I just don't have a tank that size anymore.

I am building my own controller. It's slow going but the goal is to have a good amount of bells and whistles. Currently I have it where I can enter my data. I get a weekly email about up coming maintance. I also have code and working (just not hooked up) prototype of controlling power outlets for equipment. My next goal is to build a stand for the touch screen monitor, outlets, and all the wires. Then I hope to add some sensors (like pH and what not).

Also note this system is accessible/controllable via phone or pc.

I'm teaching myself PHP and Python but I already know C#, ASP, .NET, Netlinks (AV equipment code base), and some java.

Interested if you wanna test a second model.

LOL, way cool! I've always wanted to see how they do it in production. I should ask a contractor I use for 3D scanning / Reverse Engineering business. He has a masters in plastics manufacturing. I bet he would know....
