In you opinion, what Halichoeres wrasse is least likely to go after inverts? I'm looking at the yellow (coris) wrasse or Christmas wrasse (H. claudia).

I've had H. claudia, H. chysotaenia and H. chrysus in my tank all at the same time with Astrea, Turbo, conchs, ceriths and nassarius without any problems. I also had some hermits which were also ignored. Pods...a different story. The only pods I ever saw in my tank were at night and they were very, very scared! :-)

I've got an H. Melanurus right now that I am going to try and trap because he harasses all my snails. He's a little oversized for the tank though.

I have a chryus and cosmetus, the cosmetus is 4" long and ignores my blood shrimp, hermits and snails.

I took a shot with my Melanurus and lucked out, he doesn't touch any of my CUC I have Turbos, Nassarius, Conch, Fire and Cleaner Shrimp. He did make a snack out of Peppermint that I added to take care of some Aptasia, although they were on the small side, and an Acro Crab that hitchhiked on a small colony I bought.

Stay away from Halichoeres marginatus; my juvenile is only 2 1/2" long but it loves snails.
