What is the most minimal reef tank you have made?

I’m attempting the most minimal bare bottom coral 20 gallon.
Can you think of an absolute necessity not listed?
Thanks!

1 heater w/ controller $50
2 water movement $15
3 lights black box $89
4 two dosing pumps $35
5. tank $29

$218 total

Very cool! The texture on the bottom was a great idea. Minimalism hopefully means less headache! Are you gonna include filtration? Skimmer? I'm itching to set up this 20g high I got sitting around, only thing stopping me is I kinda want a 20 long. Looking forward to seeing where this one goes!

I'm hoping the live rock is filtration enough - so far so good.

No skimmer other than the surface one that is also the water movement. It's been up and running for a while now.

I've been manually dosing ammonium chloride, and recently purchased a dual pump for auto dosing kalk and ammonium.

I might need to add a fan as it's not evaporating fast enough.

20g is fun to work with as it goes up very quickly... insta reef :-)

Here's how I cannibalized "black box" leds.
basically if you remove everything from the box and run lights under 80% no fan is needed. But u can always mount the fan directly to the heat sink...
