I just purchased PVC for my new build and it got me wondering, what are the most popular PVC colors sold by BRS? Would you guys be willing to break down your sales by color in percentages so we can see what everyone is using for their solid plumbed builds?

Thanks!

If anyone was wondering I went with four colors; red, green, blue, yellow - one color for each function.

Red for my 1.5" drains from the 220g DT,
Blue for the 1" returns to the DT,
Yellow for the 1" manifold,
Green for the 2'x3' tide pool tank.

I wouldn't hold my breath on this one as I would guess that these guys have enough on their plate already. I will say that without question white is the most common color as generally people are buying what's available to them at their local plumbing or general hardware stores. as far as "designer" colors go, red is the next in line.
-disclaimer- all data was collected while enjoying the fine work of r2r's build contributors. keep it up everybody!

I'm guessing red, but I only went red due to already having a sump with red components. I would have gladly gone with blue, purple or green if it matched.

White is most common. Red and Blue seem to be the new white LOL.

Haha, fun. It actually only took a few minutes to pull the numbers. We don't sell regular white schedule 40, so this popularity contest is only based on what we stock. Now this is by #of purchases of each color, and not by volume/# feet, but the winner is....

Blue! At 28% of pvc purchases. Red came in 2nd at 22%, black in third, schedule 80 gray in fourth, and the rest were in single digits.

Have a great day!

I would think the white furniture grade PVC would look a whole lot better that the regular schedule 40, because it would have a glossy finish and no tacky lettering. Maybe you guys should stock it too. :-)
