gonna dissent in opinion here. I think YTs are one of the most territorial fish around and i would add one last if i were to ever get one. that barb on the back tail is no joke.

i have a 300 gallon system and tried a cbb and a pbt. both died to the "king of the tank". wasnt til i yanked him that my options increased.

just a warning.

otherwise, they are simple easy to keep.

Do you have a purple tang? I will be bringing my purple tang and desjardini tang home this weekend and I was wondering if the purples are bossy with all fish are just other tangs?

I had one for 11 years from back in the 90's until 2002.
The purple's are not aggressive with other mates, but you should only have one Purple unless you have a very large tank.
The younger you have, the better they'll be.

Ive had my yellow tang for over 15 years and he's cool with any new tank mates he might flex a little at first but ive never seen him ever attack another fish unlike my a$$hole six line......hair is stunning i prefer new over old

Ive got a yellow, a hippo, a kole and a powerder blue that is about 12 days into his QT period in the 90g.
