Is the z/p fad coming back?

I think utter chaos has to be up there right now. Nothing out there that's brighter. At least not that I've seen.
We must not be talking about the same coral. I have sunny d right next to my utter chaos. Not even close. Haven't seen the others in person though.Lots of zoas I have are brighter than UC. Bowsers are way brighter, hyper phoenix about 2 times brighter, hallucinations, even sunny D are brighter. They are a good cheap zoa though and pretty strong/frag well.

Sunny D is another hot one right now too
Agreed. I bought 4p of Utter Chaos for $20 at a swap. I got my Sunny Ds for $40 with 8p from a LFS. Reasonable to me. That same store wants $50 for 2p of Utter Chaos. Supply and demand$20 per polyp is crazy! Personally I think inflating price simply because people like them is an awful practice. Sunny d's grow like weeds. The price is crazy. I think price should be determined by difficulty of care and growth rate. Just my opinion. I sell my red hornets, suny d's, rastahs, ked reds etc... for $5 up to 5 polyps, $10 5-10 polyps, $15 10- 15 polyps etc... I think that's fair. Now my blue tubbs and teal zoas take longer to grow so a bit more. But $20 per polyp. No way!!!!

Yes this has been discussed a million times. I generally just give my zoas away free dont understand how people can "charge" for something that grows so fast and is just a hobby. Why 5$? why not just give them away? What makes you think they are worth 1$ per polyp? do you have some sort of cost analysis like calculating your electricity usage, time spent, additives like a business? How do you come up with the arbitrary number of 5$ for 5 polyps? And then second how is 20$ per polyp outrageous? I'm guessing there are people who have set up tanks and acquired zoanthids with the intention of breaking even on their coral maybe they have calculated their cost and accurately come up with 20$ per polyp in order to sustain their hobby without further investment. Then of course there is demand if your the only person in town with 5 polyps and 1,000 people are trying to buy them from you because they also want them. You paid 20$ per polyp are going to give them away for free and take your loss? Or would you sell them to the highest bidder? I dont understand why these concepts are so difficult.
