Most silent powerhead for a pico?

I have a 3.7 AIO pico tank stocked with soft corals. Recently, I'm moved into a new apartment and am now keeping my tank in my room - however, the noise from my current powerhead is bothering me (I'm a very light sleeper). What are the quietest powerheads for pico reefs (<100 GPH) on the market?

hygger looks awsome , capable of going very hi at 1600gph , might have to dremmel down the prop some for a 4gallon (making it even more silent) ,some surface turbulence is needed of course.

I think the lowest settings are pretty light, also depends on how long your tank is (i.e. I have a shallow long 4 gallon that’s 18”). I also have seen reviews saying it doesn’t shoot out like a jet, more broad flow so might be ok?

When I was referring to "powerhead" I wasn't referring to wavemakers but rather water pumps that pump water through your AIO system through tubing, like the image below I found off the web.

Oversizing and getting a dc powerhead you can adjust then running it at like 20-30% is a great way to get it to be incredibly quiet

you looking for a DC or a AC one?

DC's are typically quieter... but cost more.

But here is one that uses 5V so a USB adapter is required.

I was using a mj1200 on my 10aio (just saltwater acclimating mollies project). I swapped it out for an @IOAOI USB pump. It doesn't have a controller (plug and play) and doesn't pump high but as an in-tank pump it's great.

Though it's 132gph, not the <100 your looking for but it's very quiet. I have it connected to 12mm black vinyl tubing to 1/2" loc-line.


The electrical whir from my phone charger is louder than this..
