most silent pump under $150?

I am looking for around 1000 gph and as quiet as possible for under 150$. The wife wants the silent so that is more important if i need to sacrifice gph or spend a bit more.

I prefer to support lfs but they only carry Quiet One and have heard some horror stories about them. What pumps would everyone recommend? Or am i chasing a unicorn in that price range?

I ordered a jaebo dc9000 and have been happy with it. Quiet and I think I'm getting around 1100 gph. Some reviews say they break but mines running strong 6 months.

U might Wanna have the lfs order a reef octopus DC 5500 if you wanna suport the lfs. I'm sure they can get them. Or use coralvue the have great customer service in my experiance. Might be a tad bit more money than 150

I'd go with jeboa dc1200. Mines been running quiet now for over a year.

The only places i can find that carry Jeboa are Amazon and their own site. Why wouldn't more places carry them if they work well ?

More places dont carry them because they never offered a warranty but recently changed to a 1 year warranty. People dont want to sell a product that they can guarantee.

That's reassuring. i was worried after some reviews i had read. From reading reviews the tend to whine at higher settings so with silent being most important to me i will likely get a 9000 or 12000 and run it low so i get 1000gph and silent.

The Fluval SP pumps are suppose to be very quiet.
I'm pretty happy with Eheim too.
I've had 2 of the 1262's.

My only problem with the eheim is the power consumption ;
I was looking at the 1260 and decided to go with the tunze 1073.040; They run at 45W max and mine is running at 38W as I open the output all the way.

for cheaper solution, RIO pumps are not bad at all. They are like $70 for the 3100+

Eheim hobby pump. STILL the best pump on the market. NO WAY would i trust my main system to a China DC pump!!! Eheim will last you 20 years minimum if you take care of it!
