Hi everyone!

Recently I have been feeling very... bleh about my tank. I just have been busy with other things and not giving it the time and attention it deserves. I've been thinking I might do something different with my tank. Currently it is set up as a mixed reef with various reef safe fish (tangs, wrasse, clowns, etc) but I feel like I want to do something different with it. I wanted to see what some of the most unique tank builds you've ever seen are? Maybe help give me some ideas for something I can do that would be fun and possibly challenging as well. My personal tank is a 125g with 55g sump for anyone interested.

One idea I had was to make a giant seahorse tank with lots of different types of algae growing. Could be cool, colorful and different. I've also thought about going with a predator style tank with a large lionfish as my show piece. I do love lionfish. I've also thought about something as silly as stocking with an enormous amount of blue/green chromis or damsels.

Anyway what are some of the most unique builds that you have ever seen? Give me some ideas please! Even if it won't work with my current tank, I'd love to hear the most unique build you've ever seen ;Woot

29 gallon in a wall which flows into a 65 gallon saltwater paludarium then into a sump.

Fun, challenging, but ultimately difficult for me to keep salt creep from killing plants and felt the design of the middle tank led to nutrient challenges. The current system is now two systems with the paludarium slowly becoming brackish.

I had a thought of replumbing it to the 29 gallon and making it a floating sargassum system, no substrate, just sargassum and fishes associated with sargassum.

Here are early build pics before I skinned the 65 and sump with a counter and walls.
