Am i the only one who goes through phases where they just want to sell everything and get out of the hobby? October was a very draining month for my reef obsession, losing my 60 gal cube to a giant crack in the bottom and then velvet wiping out all of my fish in my 150, I'm left feeling a bit flustered with everything and wondering what you all do if/when you get to this point?

My only tank crashed and I'm pretty much reefless right now, doesn't stop me from being part of this awesome hobby! This is some real advice here that may not be a consolidating but it's important to hear (I learned it from lifting). If there's something difficult that you truly care to see through to the end, give up motivation because that motivation will disappear at points and if you rely on it you won't know what to do. Sometimes to do something you love you have to spend a little time doing something you hate, self-discipline baby! The results are worth it and you'll thank yourself, keep moving forward no matter how hard it is. Failure's are just learning experiences, bridges to get you to your goal, not roadblocks.

Been there and done that....not a tank wipeout, but lost several long time and expensive fish several months ago to a unknown cause.....I was ready to hang it up....it seemed that nothing I did was working out with my tank.....I was do done....but my husband reminded me of all the years of hard work, time, and effort and to not give up. So fast forward to now, and I s glad I didn't give up! Things worked themselves out, and now all is good! Hang in there!
