Motorized ball valve

What do you guys think about this motorized ball valve. https://ussolid.com/motorized-ball-...electric-ball-valve-110v-ac-by-u-s-solid.html

Id love to put some sort of electric/motorized valve on my manifold to shut off in cases of leak/low water etc.

Has to be 3/4 in.

Never mind on that valve, made with SS304 which is apparently not good in saltwater.

You guys have any other ideas or valves suggested?

a sensor-based pump shut-off is more conventional if it works for your app

I can do. That but my manifold is run off of my return and I'd like to keep the return going if possible.

Sounded like you wanted to shut it off.

Maybe explain a little more about your setup or why you want to shut it off?

I have a manifold coming off my return line that in cases of emergencies I want go to be able ti remotely/automatically shut off without shutting the whole tank down.

During a plumbing or equipment leak, just for example, it would usually be ideal to have the flow turn off.

If you aren't trying to shut off the flow to the tank, it sounds like you may have a specific emergency in mind?

I looked into this for a gravity auto water change, reef safe actuated ball valves cost a few hundred each

Just thinking i have equipment that could potentially leak outside the tank such as an ats or uv sterilizer. I guess im just taking this too far and should just shut the return down if the water level drops.

There are lots of approaches, so it's defitately worth thinking through.

The shutoff can be based on level control and/or leak detection....excess humidity...just about anything.

Shutting off the uv might make sense too since it could overheat without water cooling.

I used to have the manifold running on a separate pump but it wasn't big enough for what I wanted and my return was turned down to a quarter so i hooked return up to the manifold bud I lost my control over shutoff.
