Hello everyone! I have some vertical areas in my aquascape that I would like to place some corals on and was wondering what types of SPS, LPS and soft corals work well on vertical surfaces and those that don't? FYI - the PAR values run from around 50 at the bottom of the vertical surfaces to around 225 near the top region.

Monti's, anacropora, cyphastrea are on my overflow.
Dosent get any more vertical than that, lol.

My rock anemones love being on verticals surfaces, cyphastreas don’t seem to mind either

I do with chalice, zoa and other frags utilizing coral putty

I am having the same problem trying to figure out what to put on sides of rock! I had a beautiful wide growing blasto that didn't seem to like being put there and is dying! I love Blasto too! Very hard to feed corals vertically! I am also shocked that people would recommend euyhyllia. has to be something that grows float! I thought of putting acans. They dont really grow flat! I was just involved in an auction that had some cray colored up lepto I think they are called. Like jack o lanterns. They went for 5.99. I think I iwll stay through next auction and try those. I had a straaaange curved growing pectina at one time and it worked perfectly but it died. My other pectinia is growing upwards. i am wondering if I place it there if it will start to change its growth pattern but its getting a little large to do that! I do have one chalice that cornbread said they like to put on sides. How about favia? I know they have bad stingers! i think I iwll make a post but auction is going off sunday! I need to get this figured out quik because I am dong two auctions now so no shipping fees would apply! My tank looks awful and so bare on sides. I also have tongas placed straight up but going to put zoas and shrooms on there and afraid to put on main rock fearing they may take over and these other rocks arent attached so dont have to worry about that! Still need to figure out my bridge conecting tongas! Its very high up but par not to high since its on back of wall away from lights!
