Mounting frags on Monti cap

I have a cap that has encrusted the rock. I recently upgraded tanks and need to rearrange the way the rock sits. Now its taking up a lot or real estate. Has anyone mounted frags to caps or see any issues with this.

I haven't glued it yet.

Yes, the monti will grow over the plug. Commence warfare.
My montis have invaded the space of other corals. Sometimes it wins, sometimes it loses.
My solution is to just keep chopping out and giving away chunks of Monti.

I agree with above, the monti will overgrown and win. It will also kill those other sps corals around it.

I've tried places entire rocks on top of monti's to kill them, they still manage to grow out from under the rock.
