Just curious, lets say you mount a frag with a reef safe putty to your rock and have to remove the frag. Is it easy to pop the mount off the rock? I currently have most of my frags pushed into the rock some have the stem some dont, am considering mounting them because they seem to like the spots they are in. Also has anyone used a clam craddle before?

Depending on how encrusted they are. It is usually easier to pop them off before they start growing.

I don't know what a clam cradle is but it sounds like something I would give a go if I had some more baby clams....

I usually glue my plugs in place with cyanoacrylate gel from the 99 cent store. The gel works well, holds strong and is easily removed. Plus you get 2 glue sticks for.... Well 99 cents. I relocate frags alot (trying to dial them in to their happy place so this glue works great for me.

It depends on how well you epoxy that thing in. Generally you can pop them out, but you won't get the epoxy off so you will be left with an ugly white epoxy bump until the coraline grows over it. I don't usually putty them in until I'm pretty sure that's going to be their forever home.
