Mounting Frags

Most frags I see are mounted so the fresh cut edge is glued to the plug. Just curious to the pros and con's to using this method rather than gluing healthy tissue to the plug and leaving the fresh edge exposed for healing. Any thoughts?

It can be done both ways. I think a lot of the time it's mounted with the fresh cut edge down so the frag looks healed and there isn't a cut edge showing.
