Okay I just got 10 frags in my tank. The frags are cone shaped which don't mount to rock easy. What's the best way to transfer the coral? I was thinking either removing it from the plug, or cut the bottom of the plug off. But if I cut it, how would I do it without damaging the coral?

if its sps and not incrusted, i usually just cut it and remount of my live rock. If something like zoa / paly/ chalice and other soft/lps then i cut the frag down with bone cutter and use epoxy/super glue combination to mount it.

Okay cool, they are zoa, thanks for all the input, it really help guys

I stick a razor blade under the hot glue that holds the frag to the plug then attach the frag to epoxy then mount on live rock. I don't like the look of plugs in my tank.

or u can just glue the plug sideways onto the LR, the zoa will spread and eventually cover the plug anyways.
