Mounting hardware on rimless tank for a light hanging kit?

I am planning on setting up a Reefers 170 and I cannot hang my lights from the ceiling. Not allowed to for this tank. I was wondering if anyone knows of a nice looking mount that would mount to the rimless tank and work with a hanging kit. I like the look of the Radion mounting gizmo that hooks right onto the rimless tank. I figure there has to be something out there like that that would accommodate a hanging kit. I don't want a DIY type of situation, I did the pipe conduit bent for my last tank but want something more clean and already designed. Thanks for any help on this

You could use the multi light RMS and drill where you want the mounts, assuming it is high enough I could get some measurements for you in the AM.

Measurements would be great. I think the height might be a problem though. I'm also not sure what you mean by "drill where you want the mounts". I'm thinking you mean the part of the hanging kit that you would drill into the ceiling stud, yes? Thanks so much for taking the time to respond.

How dose it mount to your tank/stand? Can they be retrofitted for a hanging kit? All the pictures on the link are showing LED lights that are snug fit. Thanks so much for the link.

There is a long vertical segment that has a bolt in it which slides up and down. You put the bolt through the back of your stand and tighten it down when it is at the height you want. You could make it work with a hanging kit if you want to.

I know they don't have the best reputation customer service wise, but check out the CadLights Artisan Series Lamp Tree. It's designed to mount to the back of your stand and allow you to suspend any fixture with a hanging kit over your tank.

I used a piece of conduit. Bent it to fit the tank and painted it flat black. I secured it to the side.

My tank is 36" wide and the top of the arms end up 25.75" apart. The bracket is 10.4" above the water line.

As far as drilling it, the crossbar has a t-slot in the bottom to allow the mounting brackets to be slid in or out as needed and the top has a bunch of channels in it sized to fit Radion power cords and the Radion brackets literally just clip on from underneath, but quite securely. I would either modify the Radion bracket to fit your hole pattern or drill through the crossbar and mount directly.

I did that on my last nano tank and I really don;t want to go the pipe conduit route again but thanks.
