I have two Hydra 26's that I am trying to mount via the gooseneck. However my tank is right up against the wall and I can squeeze the thing back there unless I put the mounting bracket on backwards. The issue is if I do that, then these two metal bars (pics below) will be slightly in the water and I'm afraid it will leave. No idea what kind of metal it is other than it's not magnetic. I may mount them on the sides or return them but I'm bummed. Any thoughts?

I don't see a picture, but if you're saying you will have exposed metal from the mount, in your tank, I would highly recommend hanging from the sides or finding a different mounting method. What size tank? If you temporarily removed enough water, could you move the tank away from the wall a little?

Oops here's the pics!

It's a 66 gallon with I believe 10 mm glass.

Currently they're mounted on the sides and I actually don't hate I but thought I would. I emailed ecotech about them and for now I think I'll leave them here and maybe next water change I'll do a big one and see if I can move it some.

Here is their response. They said it's okay but didn't sound 100% but maybe that's just because they wanted to assure me that if something did happen they'd replace it. I'm not concerned about the Gooseneck though it's my tank I'm worried about haha
