Mounting ideas for 4 Noops

Soliciting some ideas for mounting 4 Noopsyche minis over my 48"x20"x20" tank.

Challenge: cannot use the walls or the ceiling. Trying not to mount to glass.

Budget: $100-200.

Current ideas:
-Use extruded aluminum to make a rail, mount to stand or build legs/feet. Likely way over budget.

- Same as above with wood.

-Repurpose a rail-type mount from other lights.

Not a bad idea. I thought about a system with "feet" under the stand and a hanger-type rail above the tank.

It's cheaper with 2x4s and a large doll wood. I bed you could make it for around $20-30

Could make similar mounts out of lumber.

If tank is rimmed you could just use glass sheets over the tank to support the lights.

I used polycarbonate here, but for 20" span I would use glass (lights will be close to the water though):

i build a tslot led rack years ago and it was easy to plan, just bought the aluminum and corner brackets and only had to hacksaw a few pieces to the right lengths. It worked very well

There are 4 small 90 degrees brackets (2 on each side) connecting the two vertical rails to the two rails that sit on the tank frame. You can loosen them and slide the whole apparatus up or down to change the height if you need to.

The lights can attach with a loop of aircraft cable, chain, whatever

It's a great product. I use it to build manufacturing equipment enclosures. Although I mostly use 4040 and 4080 for that.

These Machines run 24/365. They have been in constant use for over 25 years. We are just now starting to see the first failures in the material. We are only seeing the start of failure in high moisture enviromemts with constant vibration.

You could get creative with the led mount. I did a simple tank frame stand because the tank was already in place.

Since @JoJosReef hasnt set it up yet, you could just take 3 long vertical rails Mounted to the back of the cabinet, then a right angle coming towards front of tank, and then hang off the pieces that are perpendicular to the tank. Basically an upside down L

I do the upside down "L" as you said. Two legs total. Inside the cabinet, behind the drawer I drilled a single hole lined up with the slot on each side. Placed a slot nut in the channel and screwed it down. So one screw and one slot nut on each leg. I have about 12 inches of adjustment total

And yes it was an afterthought so I hand cut those square holes in my bedroom.

I would have slid the tank a half inch back and had a little lip exposed in the front, moved the vertical rails 3-4” closer to center and called it a night lol

Gather everything you need to harness a door frame with these Aluminum C-Channels. They are versatile and able to be cut into custom requirements for your project. They are generally used for wire protection

Gonna 3d print the corners and all other attachments then mount it to the RMS I already have.

You could use the slot to fit over the glass and then attach legs to the cross bar. There is also square bar if that fits the vibe better.
