Mounting Kessil Ap9x to reefer 350 G2

Im setting up a reefer 350 G2 and I am using 2 Kessil Ap9x lights. My question is about the mounting bracket. Mounted to the rim of my tank the bracket sits in the water about a 1/4". Trying to figure the best way to raise the bracket. Maybe a spacer. Just wondered if any others had solved this issue.

Is your bracket metal. Mine is and not sure if i should be worried about corrosion. Thx

Its like a coated aluminum I think.
