I'm wanting to mount my monti capricornis frag to the back of my glass and am hearing different views on how to do this? Has anyone had any success doing this and how did you do it?

I took putty that I had for securing my rocks and used it as a primer. I smashed it on the glass till it stuck then after it started to solidify I used my finger nail to put a pattern into it then let it fully solidify. Then glued a frag to it. Worked like a charm.

the frag I had was flat 4" or so. I needed to create a shelf for it to sit on.

eventually it grew up the back glass and attached itself pretty good. One day I tried breaking a frag off and the whole thing came off in one clean piece.

I've not had good luck with superglue and/or putty on my back glass. It sticks like crazy o the overflow though. I've been thinking about trying to rough it up with a razor or something first next go around.

Would it be ok if I put 2 different frags close to each other or would it be best to keep them separate? I would like to see them mixed together a bit but don't want to have one kill the other out.

Ok I tried on the glass and the overflow with no success. So now I'm going to try the magnets.
