Mounting Viparspectra Lights Ideas

Looking for mounting rail for a peninsula tanks set up with 2 - 165 W Viparspectras. Wall mounted. Want to mount to the wall and hang over this tank. Pictures please

Why not mount something like the EcoTech RMS across the tank instead, from back to front?

I need the tank sitting like a peninsula so kids can access 3 sides and hanging lights keeps them out of the way. Tank is in an educational setting

mounting to wall might require more effort than worth? that's a big lever. Is the ceiling not an option? a couple of long aluminum U brackets, drill your own holes, some wire, and hang them out of reach... I've seen some u-tube also, mount the above setup to the wall like a long L and wire or bracket for the long hypotenuse...

where "1" is supporting the entire weight and lights mount between 0 and L.
The higher the "1" position, the less force is put on it

What type of wall is it? Are there any studs to mount to?

If there is a stud, you can get some threaded pipe, like 3/4 or 1in and a bracket to thread the pipe into, then anchor that to the wall.

If mounting to the wall is a no go, I agree with above that some U-tube or aluminum brackets from above would work just fine.

Where's the outlet for the lights? Behind the tank?

It is a cinderblock wall. We anchored into it, and mounted this bracket that was made for us by the schools metal shop class. All work done by students. I think it looks good but we are open to suggestions for improvement if you have any.

Looks really good! And the cinder block wall made it easy to anchor to.

Just need some velcro straps for wire management and it will look clean.

I used some zip ties but Wires are the Bane of my existence. I’ve got to figure out something better

That looks great! like I mentioned all stress is on that top left corner. If you're confident in the material, stick with it otherwise flip it upside down and add support to the hypotenuse
