Mounts for ATI fixture?

@Bacon505 thanks for the info. Very helpful. I think I'm gonna give the AI brackets a try even though it'll be a little more involved. With the T-slotted frames I'll will be able to slide the fixture from back to front to adjust the positioning of my fixture. I think I'll also use two separate vertical bars for my mount to distribute the weight of the fixture. I was looking to use these aluminum frames for my mount (the slot in the center is what will allow me to slide the fixture back and forth):

What is the width/thickness of your 55" long main horizontal bar?
Everything i got it from home depot. The square tube is 1" and the thickeness im not quite remember. 1x 48" square tube is $22 enought for you go make the bracket bolt on to your stand but i recomend you get two to have the vertical bar flat on the ground for more support. $5-7 you can get the rest to complete your bracket. At most will cost you $40-50 for a nice durable bracket. If you dont have. Friend to weld it for you just find a a car body repair shop they eill happy do it for you around$20.
my light is moveable just fyi, i can turn it full 360 and slide in and out. I cut the horizontal bar close to the half conduit bracket because im OCD and i dont like stuff sticking out. Few things in mind, consider the weight of the fixture, mine weight about 50lb. If you use the AI bar, you have to drill two hole on the side for the bolt to fit. The standard hole on the ati is very close to the edge of the fixture, on the side of the fixture has a cover across the fuxture so if you drill rhe hole for the AI you cannot put the bolt in without having the cover removed.

I'm actually going to retrofit my ATI into a hybrid LED/T5 fixture with NanoBox. So I intend to ask NanoBox to install the AI mount while he's already got the top cover removed to perform the retrofit modification.

Good tip on running the vertical bars to the ground for more support. I'm also getting the 36" 6 bulbs fixture which I think is smaller than yours (from the pics your looks like a 48")

Sweet... Dave from Nanobox does some killer work! Please post some pics when your Nanobox ATI hybrid gets set up.

Kool good luck, i diy most of my stuff to save money so i dont know those businesses that does those kind of work. If you buy ati, dont buy the dimmable one, its not worth it, it shorten your bulb life.

Forgot to mention of your tank is bellow 60g then the 6 bulbs is great but i reccomend the 8 bulbs if you have anything larger than 90g and hosting sps dominant tank. Since you're retro fitting led i assume you have to give up at least two bulbs for the led? Or are they adding it to the side?

My tank is a 60 gallons. My tank is 36"x20" and 20" deep. The mod will leave with 4 bulbs with LEDs in the middle. My Reefer 250 has an overflow in the middle that extends into the tank by 4", so I don't have the full 20" width available. Do you think that 4 T5 with 4 LEDs are enough? I plan to have a mixed reef tank. It's mostly filled with LPS since I don't have enough lights for SPS at the moment.

Yeah should be plenty since its only 20" high snd with water displacement depend on where your overflow is located, probably end up with 18" high of water. Ati is a trong fixture it can grow any sps at that height. Might bleach your lps and softy

You'll have plenty of juice with that setup. On my 250 I use a 4 bulb Sunpower w/ 2 Kessil 160's at 60% power growing anything and everything.
